The IPCC has also warned that rising temperatures are shortening snow seasons across high-mountain regions, turning once-white peaks increasingly bare and rocky.The Himalayas act as Asia’s water tower, feeding rivers that support farming, cities and ecosystems across the continent. As snow declines, so does the stability of this vital water source.
