The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) has opposed a proposed beef fest organized by the Left-affiliated SFI in Thiruvananthapuram.
CK Najaf, State General Secretary of the Muslim Students Federation (MSF), stated:
“It might hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus.”
He added:
“We should respect those in the Hindu community who do not eat beef. It is also unacceptable to hurt the sentiments of ordinary Hindu believers just to confront the RSS.”
The statement has sparked fresh debate around political symbolism, religious sensitivity, and campus activism in Kerala.
