IndianNavy’s Naval History Division conducted a thought-provoking panel discussion today at #NDWBF2026 on “Creating Rule-Based Order: Role of the Indian Navy”, moderated by Associate Professor Abhimanyu Singh Arha, #JNU with Lieutenant Commander Anupama Thapliyal and Lieutenant Jeevitesh Saharan as panelists. The discussions underscored Indian Navy’s pivotal role in crisis response and maritime governance – from operations ashore during the 1961 Liberation of #Goa to anti-piracy missions in the #IOR – highlighting the Navy’s contribution to maintaining stability and protecting maritime commons. The session was well received by audience and generated keen interest and interaction. Vice Admiral C R Praveen Nair, #CPS visited the venue and interacted with the NHD staff, appreciating their efforts in setting up the naval pavilion and showcasing Indian Navy’s proud history and contemporary role.
