Virat Ramayana Temple taking shape in Kathwaliya village of Kalyanpur area under Motihari of East Champaran district is now going to witness a historic moment.On January 17, the world class’s largest Shivling will be established here, a huge crowd of devotees likely to see.This divine Shivling was built in the famous Mahabalipuram of Tamil Nadu.It departed from there on 21 November and has reached Bihar after completing a long journey of almost one and a half month.This Shivling, approximately 33 feet tall and weighing 210 tons, has been carved out a single giant granite rock.Under religious rituals to be held before and after the establishment, will be anointed by airways with the holy waters brought from Haridwar, Prayagraj, Gangotri, Kailash Mansarovar and Sonpur.Under construction Virat Ramayana temple premises are aimed to be completed by 2030.
